I’m actually quite terrified of heights, but I’m a big believer in challenging your fears so I decided to do the gorge swing. The team at Abseil Zambia made me feel really safe (felt good knowing they have 100% safety record in the 15 years they’ve been around) and took me through the procedure really thoroughly so when it came time to jump I was able to do it with almost no hesitation…so much fun! My 11yr old brother did it too and he loved it 🙂 Highly recommend! It’s true that it’s a bit of a trek back up the gorge though (ice cold water half way up was much appreciated) so be prepared for that.

One the team was kind enough to take a video of our jumps too (with our camera) at no extra cost – it turned out really well! You’ll find the video on youtube if you search “The Zambezi Swing (Big Scream!)” – I really did scream but it was sooo fun ^^

Just step off and free fall…this is no bungee jump..you will fall, catch and swing. Aawesome! I took the step forward, straight off. My two teens did a tandem jump, where you step off backwards. We bought the DVD of our jumps. You really want to have this! The whole thing goes so quickly, you will want to see you own face, scream, etc. We took our own photos but the guide has the best place to take the DVD. Just be sure you realize you have to WALK out of the gorge once you are down and it is a pretty good up-hill climb.

I went along intending to only do the abseil but ended up doing the swing as well. Great experience, fun scary awesome… if you can’t bunny (like me due to fear of taking the leap forward), then this may be the next best thing? enjoy!

Great place for that adrenalin rush. Must do. Wife did the abseil, and we both did the zip line. GREAT!

Just played flying fox. Thanks to the encouragement from the instructors, the flyings were wonderful. Once you are slide out in the middle of the Batako Gorge, you will enjoy to be hanged up over there to look down the bushes over 200 feet underneath you.

Loved the gorge swing and bungee jumping! This was a wonderful experience with very professional staff. The tandem gorge swing was priced very reasonably.

This was a terrific experience & not for the light of heart. The gorge swing was a wonderful, frightening, once in a lifetime experience. The repelling was great and so was the zip lining. A highlight was shopping at a local goods hut and meeting the chief of the village. We heard great stories about his village and their children that reside there.

I could not have been more excited while doing this. I did the zipline twice and the flying fox once. The staff was very friendly and definitely made you feel like they would be very conscious of your safety. Be sure and do these more than once. It was a real thrill!!

Best ever experience, well looked after, well organised, safety and they make or made sure one has the best thrill. Explained how its done and Chanda who videoed (CD – filmed) excellent (worth buying). Where picked up and dropped back at the hotel.

My sister and I did the gorge swing – what an amazing experience! My sister went first and I followed suit – not only was the adrenaline rush awesome but the view down the gorge was stunning! Despite the terrifying 53m freefall we’ve both said we’d do it again in a heartbeat – thank you to the Abseil Zambia team who made the swing so amazing! Not only did they make sure we felt totally safe but they were also able to answer any and all questions and made the overall experience great.
